We had the most authentic and heartwarming experience staying with a local Uros family on their floating reed island. Cesar and his wife Lucy were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like part of their family. The food was delicious, and the views from our room were stunning. Despite the lack of a guest shower, the overall experience was well worth it. I highly recommend this lodge for a unique and unforgettable stay.

The owner was really helpful and showed us how the islands are built. We had a private tour on the lake and the food was amazing. The 3-course menu for dinner and lunch was delicious, especially the meals made by the owner's wife. Additionally, we were picked up at the bus station early in the morning, which was really convenient after a long night bus ride.
The cold temperature at night, but the owner provided hot water bottles and plenty of blankets to keep us warm. Another minor drawback was the lack of a guest shower, but it was a small sacrifice for the authentic experience of staying with an Uros family on a floating reed island.

Lucy, his wife, prepared delicious homemade meals for us. the small group size and non-touristy atmosphere made the experience even more special. We had an amazing experience on the floating island. the local family who hosted us were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. the food was delicious and plentiful, and the views from our room were breathtaking. We also enjoyed the informative boat tour and learning about the Uros community's way of life.
That the temperature was quite low at the lake, so it's important to bring warm clothing. the shared shower was a bit inconvenient, but we understood that it was due to the cold weather.
